80/20 in Group Dynamics

In a group of say a dozen people, you may notice 80% of the people speak. 20% don’t.

In a larger group setting, perhaps 20% of the people speak, and 80% don’t.

Of the people who speak, 20% of them say 80% of the words.

And 80% of the value comes from 20% of the people.

What if 80% of the value came from the silent 20%?

Or if the silent 80% could provide the extra 20% that really mattered?

What have they not said?

What have they seen and heard?

How could the whole group benefit from that?
